During a meeting at the Itamaraty Palace this Friday (23rd), in Brasília, the presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and João Lourenço of Angola discussed the next steps of the Brazil-Angola Productive Agricultural Investment Program. The meeting was attended by the agriculture ministers of both countries, Carlos Fávaro and Isaac dos Anjos, along with representatives from the productive sector. The initiative foresees cooperation between Brazilian and Angolan rural producers to stimulate food production, create jobs, and promote social development in Angolan territory. According to Fávaro, the program results from articulations initiated since the beginning of Lula's current term, with a focus on combating hunger on the African continent. Technical missions carried out in Angola over the past months allowed Brazilian entrepreneurs to closely understand the production conditions in the country.
