Agricultural Crops Division: 5 thousand pounds, an increase in a ton of beans within a month in Egypt

I wrote – Dina Khaled: The prices of local beans increased in the markets during the last month, by about 5 thousand pounds per ton, in the wholesale market. Aziz Ezzat, a member of the Grain Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the prices of local beans rose to between 30,000 and 31,000 pounds per ton, compared to 26,000 pounds per ton a month ago. Ezzat attributed this rise to a shortage in the supply of fava beans, as a result of the decline in Egypt's fava bean production this year.
