Poland's agri-food exports reached a value of EUR 20.5 billion from January to July 2021, marking a 5.2% increase compared to the previous year. The growth is attributed to the lifting of pandemic-related trade restrictions and a diversification of export destinations. Meat was the primary export commodity, followed by cereal grains and processed products. The economic rebound and a favorable exchange rate also contributed to the growth. The European Union accounted for over 70% of exports, with Germany, France, and the Netherlands being the main recipients. Non-EU countries like Great Britain, Ukraine, Russia, and Saudi Arabia also significant recipients. However, exports to Great Britain were lower due to administrative changes following Brexit.
