Agricultural officials, Taiwanese grape export safety inspection ‘complete’

The National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service (Director Park Sung-woo) announced on the 22nd that it will begin full-scale support for residual pesticide testing on grapes for export to Taiwan in time for the grape harvest season. Starting in May of this year, with the implementation of the ‘Taiwan Export Grape Pre-Registration System (hereinafter referred to as the Pre-Registration System)’, farmers wishing to export grapes to Taiwan must be issued a unique registration number (ID) and submit a residual pesticide test report in order to receive the plant quarantine certificate required for export.
