On April 16, 2022, the price of coffee in Vietnam ranged from 40,300 to 41,000 VND/kg, while the global market saw a decline in coffee prices. Germany, a key market for organic coffee in Europe, saw an increase in imports, re-exporting to several countries including the US and Poland. In 2021, Germany's coffee imports increased in value despite a slight decrease in volume. Meanwhile, pepper prices in Vietnam varied from 76,000 to 79,000 VND/kg, but the cultivation planning and technical capabilities of pepper in the Central Highlands provinces need improvement to ensure quality and sustainable export.
