On March 22, the price of coffee in Vietnam ranged from 41,300 to 42,000 VND/kg, mirroring a global increase in coffee prices. Despite Brazil's significant fall in coffee exports, Vietnam emerged as the largest exporter in the first four months of the crop year 2021-2022, seeing a 17.5% surge to over 9.2 million bags. Other Asian countries like Indonesia and India also reported increased coffee exports. In contrast, pepper prices in Vietnam dropped by 500 VND/kg due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict's impact on trade. The European black pepper market is projected to grow at a CAGR of around 4% from 2021, fueled by black pepper's benefits in preventing Covid-19 entry into cells and its role in personal care products due to climate change.
