On September 2, 2021, Vietnam saw a rise in coffee prices ranging from 39,400 VND/kg to 40,400 VND/kg, despite a decrease in global coffee prices. This increase is expected to mark the second consecutive year of double-digit growth for the country's coffee exports. In contrast, pepper prices in Vietnam dropped by 1,000 VND/kg across various provinces. Despite challenges such as Covid-19 outbreaks and container shortages, Vietnam's pepper exports in the first seven months of 2021 saw a significant increase in value, thanks to higher prices.
