Agricultural production in Russia decreased by 3.2% in 2024

The production of Russian agricultural products in all categories of farms (hereinafter - in comparable prices) fell by 3.2 percent in 2024. Such data are provided in the materials of Rosstat. At the same time, sharply opposite dynamics were observed in the two main industries as a whole. In particular, the output of crop production decreased by 6.5 percent, while livestock production, on the contrary, increased by 0.9. In exact figures, the volume of agricultural production in actual prices in 2024, according to preliminary data, increased from 8.494 to 8.903 trillion rubles. Of these, crop production accounted for 4.707 trillion rubles (0.04% less), and livestock - 4.196 trillion (11% more). Of the individual forms of activity, agricultural production in farms decreased the most - by 5.1 percent.
