The Russian Agricultural Bank's Center for Industry Expertise believes that agricultural exports from the Far East Federal District of Russia could increase by a third over the next three years. Currently, 87% of exports are fish and crustaceans, with China and South Korea being the main importers. However, the bank suggests that there is potential for growth in the export of more processed and diversified agricultural products, including crop and livestock products. The Primorsky Territory, Sakhalin Region, Khabarovsk Territory, and the Amur Region are identified as having the most potential for growth. In the first eight months of 2020, agricultural exports from Russia to non-CIS countries increased by 14% year-on-year, reaching $14.7 billion, with the Far Eastern Federal District accounting for 17% of these exports.
