Egypt: Agricultural Research allocating 20 acres as a demonstration field for salt-tolerant crops in Port Said

The Agricultural Research Center and Port Said Governorate agreed to implement and activate the extension activity in the southern regions and the eastern regions of the Canal in Port Said, after the meeting between Dr. Adel Abdel Azim, Head of the Agricultural Research Center, and Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the two parties. The two parties also agreed to cultivate about 20 acres to be planted with field crops that tolerate salinity to be a guidance model and to add another model of the germinated barley crop to be spread in the region where livestock grows, which helps to increase animal production projects in Egypt. This was done under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Gad, Deputy of the Crops Institute and Coordinator of the Agricultural Research Center, and Engineer Kamel Tweig, Director General of the Agriculture Directorate in Port Said.
