Agricultural zoning of climatic risk for peaches and nectarines is expanded throughout Brazil

A new Agricultural Climate Risk Zoning (ZARC) for peach and nectarine crops was published this Wednesday (18/08) in the Official Gazette of the Union by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa). Prepared based on studies by Embrapa Clima Temperado (RS) and Embrapa Informática Agropecuária (SP), the document indicates the areas and periods of lower climatic risk for these crops in the country and defines the most suitable regions for cultivation, in order to reduce losses and ensure higher yields.
