Lifting the ban on exporting Egyptian bees to Saudi Arabia

Al-Qusayr, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, announced the lifting of the ban on exporting Egyptian bees to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia This was according to a report received from Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, Head of Agricultural Quarantine, reports that the Saudi Ministry of Agriculture has lifted the ban imposed on the import of Egyptian honey bees. A meeting was held in Riyadh between the two heads of plant quarantine in Egypt and Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the meetings of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Committee. The two parties discussed lifting the ban on importing Egyptian bees from the Saudi side. Al-Attar confirmed that the Egyptian side is ready to implement all the requirements of the Saudi side with regard to the Egyptian bees, through the Veterinary Services Authority and in cooperation with specialized research institutes.
