Egypt has been declared free of contagious equine anemia by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), according to the country's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, El-Kasir. This announcement marks a milestone in the country's efforts to develop and support its horse industry and follows the recent accreditation of 30 Egyptian facilities as bird flu-free, enabling the resumption of poultry product exports after a 14-year suspension. The ministry is dedicated to advancing the livestock sector by providing support, developing facilities, and implementing measures to prevent infectious and epidemiological diseases, in line with international standards.
