The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has convened a meeting with stakeholders to promote the formation of new sensory panels aimed at classifying the quality of olive oil in Brazil. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of olive oil[/INST] available in the country, as Brazil is the world's second-largest importer of olive oil. The Federal Laboratory for Agricultural Defense in Rio Grande do Sul (LFDA-RS) currently has the only internationally recognized sensory analysis panel for olive oil. The meeting also outlined initial discussions for the development of a sensory method for analyzing roasted coffee, following new classification standards implemented in Brazil as of January 1, 2023.
