Agro-exports started 2026 on the right foot: At the pace of wheat, in January, $1.85 billion were settled.

Powered by wheat and barley shipments, but also by the continuity of corn and soy subproduct exports, January marked a good start to the year for the cereal-oilseed sector, which has already liquidated 1.850 billion dollars at the beginning of 2026. This was reported on Monday by the Chamber of the Oil Industry of the Argentine Republic and the Center of Cereal Exporters (Ciara-CEC), an entity that represents 48% of Argentine exports and that has just finished a 2025 marked by significant sector figures. Boosted by an improvement in production, but also by successive changes in the export rights scheme (DEX), last year this complex reached 31.339 billion dollars liquidated, 25% more than 2024 and the third highest record in the entire historical series.
