The final estimate of compensation due to damages in the vineyards, mainly due to hail, will be close to 70 million euros, with more than 140,000 hectares affected. As the harvest season arrives, the damage assessment, carried out with the participation of 166 experts, is very advanced, and, with only the later zones and productions pending, almost 40 million euros are now being paid out. The 2025 campaign has been marked by the incidence of severe hailstorms that appeared early (April) and intensified their presence and severity from May.
