Spain's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has reported that the country's olive oil stocks reached 492,290 tons as of May-end. This includes 319,911.98 tons in olive mills, 176,935.97 tons in packing plants, and 1,662.39 tons in community reserves. The stocks consist of 72,398 tons of extra virgin olive oil, 44,764 tons of virgin olive oil, 11,267 tons of simple olive oil, and 11,797 tons of lampante. The projected production for the 2023/2024 period has been increased to 851,014 tons, a 12% rise from the initial estimate.
