Turkey: Aksaray Municipality distributed watermelons to support farmers

In order to support farmers in Aksaray, approximately 80 tons of watermelons were collected from the fields by municipal teams and distributed to citizens and drivers and passengers traveling on the highway. Aksaray Municipality, which has signed exemplary services throughout Turkey with its works and projects in terms of social municipality, made an important promotional move to both support watermelon producers and encourage producers to this area. While the watermelons taken from watermelon producers in Aksaray were distributed to families in need, a different path was followed for promotion. Municipality personnel went to the fields of farmers producing watermelons throughout the city and collected all the watermelons one by one.
