The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has expanded this Tuesday the alert for the presence of unlabelled gluten in organic whole wheat bulgur originating from Spain with information on new batches. AESAN has indicated that organic whole wheat bulgur from the brand La Finestra Sul Cielo has been detected with incorrect "gluten-free" labelling, as it contains said protein. It has recommended that people with problems derived from the ingestion of gluten refrain from consuming this product if they have it in their homes. The affected batches correspond to numbers 50270, with an expiration date of December 3, 2026, 40556, with an expiration date of May 11, 2026, and those numbered 40791 and 50011, both with an expiration date of September 10, 2026.
