The Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Turkey has initiated the Alfalfa Production Development Project to boost forage crop production. The project will cover 1,426 decares of land with a budget of 250 thousand TL, with the State contributing 80 percent of the cost. The project has distributed 7,130 kilograms of alfalfa seeds to 131 livestock breeders to reduce feed costs and promote sustainable animal production. The project aims to increase yield and area, and farmers who cultivate forage crops will be supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
