Algeria announced a tender for the import of at least 50,000 tons of soft wheat.

The Algerian State Grain Regulatory Office (OAIC) announced the holding of an international tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of soft wheat of optional origin, international news agencies reported. Bids for participation are accepted until October 22, and they must remain valid until October 23. The delivery of the wheat to the ports of Algeria is planned for December 1-15 and December 16-30 if it is of European or Black Sea region origin, and if it is of South American or Australian origin, one month earlier. At the last tender for the import of soft wheat into Algeria, held 4 weeks ago, between 500,000 and 720,000 tons were purchased at prices between $259 and $261 per ton C&F, according to various sources.
