Amaranth cultivation in Ukraine is aimed at processing and export, - the expert

At present, exports of amaranth oil, flour and cake account for 80% of all amaranth exports. Ukraine can also export amaranth cereals, flakes, grass pellets, candies and pasta. This was stated by the chairman of the Association of Amaranth Producers and Amaranth Products Alexander Duda, reports Kurkul. "Today, I consider amaranth wholemeal flour, cereals and flakes to be promising export products," adds the chairman of the association. Duda notes that currently the price of amaranth fluctuates within 20-25 thousand UAH / ton with VAT, so Ukrainian farmers have every chance to compete in the export market, - said the expert. According to him, in 2020 Ukraine will be able to export amaranth products with high added value, not raw materials.
