Last month, amid pressure from food inflation, President Trump eliminated retaliatory tariffs of 10-41% on over 200 hard-to-grow food items in the U.S., including coffee. He also exempted an additional 40% tariff on imports from Brazil, the country that supplies about one-third of the coffee beans to the U.S. According to Reuters analysis, President Trump's Summer tariffs had driven up the price of raw coffee beans.
