According to traders, on Tuesday, basis prices for barge-delivered soybeans at U.S. Gulf terminals remained mostly stable following recent sales to China. The U.S. Department of Agriculture did not release export sales data in its daily reporting system after confirming on Monday that exporters sold 396,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to China. According to the analyst, China will likely increase purchases of Brazilian soybeans due to lower prices after reaching the target of 12 million tons of U.S. soybeans. At the end of October, U.S. officials said China would buy 12 million tons by the end of the year as part of a trade truce between the countries.
