REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- The Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Andi Amran Sulaiman has directed the formation of a special team to monitor rice prices in various regions. This step is a follow-up to the government's efforts to reduce national rice prices, which are now showing positive results. Bapanas noted that the monitoring will focus on 51 regencies/cities in 22 provinces that still record price fluctuations above reasonable limits. The Rice Price Control Task Force will work simultaneously with Bulog, producers, distributors, and modern retail networks to ensure compliance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) regulations.
