The port of Dar es Salaam has received shipments of live cattle from Europe, in response to the government's efforts to address the 'red meat shortage' in Morocco. Additionally, cattle shipments from Latin America, particularly Brazil and Paraguay, are expected to reach Morocco. Morocco's Agriculture Minister, Mohammed Al-Scadiqi, announced that the government is opening the import gate for live cattle to balance supply and demand. The imported cattle will be exempt from customs and value added taxes.
