A memorandum between the VAP, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, grain producers, and flour millers is not working, causing bread prices to rise. This was stated by the president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Bakers (VAP) Oleksandr Taranenko, writes interfax.com.ua. "The memorandum is a document for which no one bears legal responsibility. Moreover, VAP and the 'Flour Millers of Ukraine' union were against the volumes specified in the memorandum. We refuse to sign this memorandum because the arguments of processors are not taken into account. This leads to the export of very large volumes of food grain, which significantly affects domestic bread prices," Taranenko noted.
