(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Han Ju-hong = The Central Accident Management Headquarters for African Swine Fever (ASF) announced on the 9th that African Swine Fever has been confirmed at a pig farm in Naju, South Jeolla Province, which raises 1,280 pigs. This is the 10th occurrence nationwide this year. According to the Central Accident Management Headquarters, the farm where ASF occurred is epidemiologically related to a vehicle that visited a farm in Yeongwang, South Jeolla Province, where ASF occurred last month. The Central Accident Management Headquarters has dispatched an initial response team and an epidemiological investigation team to the farm to control the entry and exit of outsiders and livestock and vehicles to the farm, and plans to cull the pigs raised on the farm in accordance with the African Swine Fever Emergency Action Guidelines (SOP). The Central Accident Management Headquarters has issued a 24-hour temporary movement restriction order for personnel and vehicles at pig farms and slaughterhouses and other livestock-related facilities in Naju City and adjacent cities/counties/districts (Hampyeong, Muan, Yeongam, Hwasun, Gwangsan-gu, and Nam-gu in South Jeolla Province).
