Corn exports from Paraguay registered growth of over 100% in both income and volume by the end of last September, according to a report by the Union of Production Guilds (UGP) of the neighboring country. The volume of shipments of the grain harvested in Paraguay increased by 117% between January and September, compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Central Bank of Paraguay. This growth allowed for the generation of income of more than 384 million dollars, more than double what was recorded in the same period of 2024. In total, 2,294,000 tons of corn were exported, compared to the 1,059,000 tons shipped in the same period the previous year. In terms of value, shipments went from 181 million dollars in 2024 to the aforementioned 384.9 million in 2025, representing an increase of 113%.
