Spain: Andalusia breaks records in olive oil exports with 2,481 million and an increase of 24.8%

Andalusia has broken the record for olive oil exports with sales worth 2,481 million euros in the first nine months of the year, thanks to an increase of 24.8 percent over the same period of the previous year. The community has consolidated its world leadership in the sale of 'liquid gold' by concentrating 75% of the total that Spain exports, that is, it markets three out of every four euros of Spanish olive oil exports to the world, according to a note of the Ministry of Economy. Likewise, this product has contributed a positive balance to the entire trade balance of the community of 2,068 million, since olive oil exports multiply imports by six, according to data from the public company Extenda.
