Angus beef is slaughtered in Bahia for the first time.

The Certified Angus Beef Program carried out, for the first time, slaughters in Bahia, and with that, achieved certification of premium carcasses in the five regions of Brazil. After years of promoting Angus herds in the Northeast, the slaughter was done in Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA) for the partner VPJ Alimentos. The goal is to reach 200 heads/month and complement the production of Certified Angus Beef portioned at the group's unit in Pirassununga (SP). According to the national manager of the Certified Angus Beef Program, Maychel Borges, the action in the Northeast represents the presence in an important market and completes the program's action in the five Brazilian regions.
