Iran's annual chicken meat production is projected to reach 2.65 million tons in the current year, with an capacity of three million tons, according to the deputy minister for livestock products, Hossein Damavandi-Nejad. The country's egg production is expected to reach 1.2 million tons, with 80,000 tons being exported. Damavandi-Nejad stated that the poultry industry has fully supplied the domestic market and can meet the needs of an additional 10 million people. He also noted that the implementation of a big plan to reform the economic structure, especially in the agricultural sector, has managed production and storage of agricultural and livestock products well.
