[Korea Agricultural and Fishery Newspaper, Reporter Woo Jung-su] Nine members of the Korea Sesame and Perilla Seed Association have been officially commissioned as honorary origin monitoring officers by the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service. The commissioned association members completed training on origin labeling standards and methods, field inspection manuals, major violation cases, and complaint handling procedures to effectively perform origin monitoring duties and are now prepared to begin full-scale surveillance activities. Moving forward, the association's honorary origin monitoring officers will conduct inspections targeting traditional markets and processing companies to verify false origin labeling and check receipt and transaction statement preservation.
