Muğla, a significant part of Turkey's marine aquaculture production, exported 810 million dollars worth of aquatic products last year. The fish produced in facilities in the city center and districts are processed and sent to the domestic market as fillets or frozen, as well as for export, contributing to the country's economy. Muğla's Provincial Deputy Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Muhammed Sevinç, emphasized the significant increase in income from aquatic products exports and the doubling of production in the sector, with exports reaching nearly 100 countries including Japan, the USA, Russia, and EU countries.
