The price of some types of bread in Ukraine next year could rise by more than 20% in a pessimistic scenario. This was reported by Yuriy Duchenko, president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Bakers (VAP), in a comment to UNIAN. According to him, the cost of bread is influenced not only by energy restrictions but also by fluctuations in raw material prices, rising logistics costs, and the wage fund. This forces producers to include additional costs in the cost price, which could lead to a rise in the price of certain types of bread. "Even with the current tension, the limits do not allow the simultaneous launch of ovens, dough mixers, cooling, and packaging. If the current conditions persist, the risks of supply disruptions increase, especially for products with a short shelf life, which poses a threat to food security," warns the head of VAP.
