Argentina has successfully exported 5,000 kilos of frozen rainbow trout to the United States from Piedra del Águila, marking a significant milestone in the country's aquaculture industry. This event is part of a strategic initiative to grow the industry, which has seen a surge in growth and market expansion, with a target of exporting over 100,000 tons in the future. The venture is supported by the creation of the National Aquaculture Directorate, the Promotion Regime, and the National Aquaculture Fund, and has already resulted in the construction of a fish processing plant in Piedra del Águila, which currently employs 200 people.
