Arequipa: American vine cuttings delivered to La Unión producers

Within the framework of Budgetary Program 040 "Maintenance and Improvement of Plant Health", the Regional Agriculture Management of Arequipa delivered 1008 vine cuttings of American rootstocks of the Salt Creek variety, along with pruning shears, benefiting 28 wine producers from the valleys of Marpa, Toccec, Yachauy, and Huañanquiri.

The vegetative material will be installed in 28 demonstration plots, each with 36 cuttings, which will contribute to the strengthening of the technical management of the vine cultivation in the province of La Unión.

The delivery took place at the annex of Huachuy, district of Toro, with the participation of Ing. Pedro Valdivia Góngora, Deputy Manager of Agrarian Promotion; Ing. Amador Rubio Argüelles, crop promoter of the Agrarian Office of La Unión; Bach. María Alcida Días Cruz, responsible for PP 040; Ing. Verónica Naventa Herrera, in charge of the Crops Area; as well as local authorities and beneficiary producers.
