The Argentine Blueberry Committee, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has successfully executed five business rounds in two months, reaching new markets in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates through the use of virtual communication platforms. This strategy has enabled Argentine blueberry exporters to penetrate non-traditional markets, tapping into a premium consumer market in the Middle East. The initiative, aimed at exploring markets that value taste, quality, and sustainability, has been instrumental in introducing Argentine blueberries to these regions. The meetings have received positive reception, with a focus on long-term business relationships, high purchasing power, and a strong preference for quality and social and agricultural certifications. The potential annual market in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen is estimated at around $15 million, highlighting the significant growth potential for Argentine blueberry exports to these markets.
