The Vice Chancellor of Argentina, Pablo Tettamanti, and the Malaysian counterpart, Tan Sri Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob, led the second Meeting of Bilateral Political Consultations to review and diversify the relationship between their countries. The discussion encompassed cooperation in various sectors such as agriculture, satellite affairs, peaceful uses of nuclear energy, forensic anthropology, and scientific projects in Antarctica. An agreement was signed to enhance cooperation between diplomatic academies, and there was a notable economic surplus in 2020. Both countries aim to increase and diversify exports, negotiate sanitary and phytosanitary access to the Malaysian market for Argentine products, and emphasize the importance of multilateralism and collaboration in the United Nations, ASEAN, and Mercosur forums.
