Argentina has successfully exported chilled and frozen pork to the United Arab Emirates, opening up a new market for its pork industry. In 2020, the country's pork exports reached 25,877 tons, valued at $55.88 million, with China being the main importer. The UAE allows the consumption of pork by non-Muslim residents with the necessary health certificates. This development is expected to boost trade between the two countries. However, the domestic demand for pork in Argentina is weak due to the pandemic, causing prices to drop.
