Argentina to set record soybean exports to China in MY 2025/26

Argentina’s soybean exports by the end of the current season—from September this year to March 2026—will reach a record 7.2 million tonnes, compared to only 0.6 million tonnes shipped a year earlier, according to analysts at German company Oil World, citing forecasts from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange. The majority of this volume, approximately 6.8 million tonnes, is expected to be shipped to China. Overall, Argentine soybean shipments in 2025/26 could reach 12.6 million tonnes, compared to 4.57 million tonnes in 2024/25, a nearly threefold increase. Soybean stocks in Argentina were estimated at 33 million tonnes at the beginning of September, the highest level on record.
