Argentina's National Service for Health and Quality in Agricultural Products (Senasa) has exported four Hereford and Angus bulls to Coyhaique, Chile, for the first time for reproduction purposes. The animals were kept in isolation and under quarantine at a farm in Trevelin, Chubut province, before being exported. The operation was managed by the Senasa office in Esquel, with collaboration from various other departments and laboratories. The export of bovine reproductors to Chile is of particular interest to Patagonian farmers in Argentina.
