Argentina’s seafood export revenue accounted for 3.9% of total agricultural export revenue in January

The export volume of seafood in January was 26,041 tons, and the export value increased by US$138 million, or 35.3%, of which US$45 million came from exports to Asia and US$36 million came from exports to Europe. In terms of export volume, the export volume of cod fillets, squid and shrimp has increased, but the export price of whole shrimp and shrimp tails has continued to deepen. The export price of ordinary cod was US$3,326 per ton, a slight increase of 1% year-on-year. The overall export value in January this year increased by 13.9% in US dollars. The export value to Brazil increased by 34%, accounting for nearly 50% of total exports, ranking first among exporters.
