Argentina's beef exports hit a record high between January and September 2024, with a volume of 699,987 tons and revenue of $2.122 billion, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. This increase was led by the US, Chile, and Israel. However, despite the rise in exports, beef consumption in the country has dropped to a 26-year low. The accumulated slaughter of cattle in the first nine months of 2024 was 10.22 million heads, and meat production increased to 2.336 million tons.
