Argentine government authorizes 4% increase in the price of wheat flour

Porto Alegre, December 6, 2022 – Argentina's secretary of agriculture authorized a 4% increase in the Argentine Wheat Stabilizing Fund (FETA) without taxes for flour at the end of milling for this month. In the Official Gazette of the Union, it was established that the price adjustment follows in line with the agreed adjustment for mass consumption products and fuels until February. In addition, the price update will be monthly and the minimum monthly adjustment is 1%, according to the studied average of the ton price, inflation and salary index. Attached, informs that a 3.5% logistical cost fee per region must be applied for the city and province of Buenos Aires; 5.5% for Centro, Cuyo and Litoral; 7% for NEA and NOA; and 8% for Patagonia. Thus, a 25 kg bag of 000 flour is worth $1,592 and a 0000 bag of flour costs $1,911.
