Banana producers from Bolivia are demanding that the president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, intervene with President Alberto Fernández of Argentina to resolve a debt of nearly $12 million owed by Argentine importers to Bolivian banana growers. The Bolivian producers claim that they have not received any payment from Argentine importers since August, causing significant financial strain for the industry and potentially leaving thousands of families without income. Producers from Paraguay are also considering halting banana exports to Argentina due to similar payment issues.
