Aronia prices very low in Poland, is this the end of buying?

Aronia is buying. This season, despite great hopes, is not satisfactory for growers - the prices are definitely too low. We asked Dr. Paweł Kraciński from the Institute of Economics and Finance of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences about the situation on the chokeberry market. How are the purchase prices shaped? The purchase of chokeberry has been going on for over a week and is coming to an end in many areas. - This season, the situation on the chokeberry market is once again difficult for growers, even though it was expected to be better. High prices of other fruits (e.g. black currants, raspberries) gave hope that aronia was more interested as a substitute, but unfortunately it did not happen - admits the interlocutor. The purchase prices for chokeberry for processing were usually from 0.80 to 1.00 PLN / kg for fruit for juices and 1.00-1.20 PLN / kg for chokeberry for freezing. Directly in the plants, slightly better rates could be negotiated for larger amounts of fruit. ...
