Turkey: Artichoke producers want to finish the harvest before the heat gets down

Producers from Aydın, who are in a hurry to harvest artichoke, one of the products that show the fertility of spring in the Aegean plains, hope that the heat will not come early for more harvests. In Aydın, which is one of the important artichoke production centers of Turkey, 9 thousand tons of artichokes are produced in approximately 10 thousand decares of field throughout the city, especially in the town of Efeler. The artichoke, which provides a living for about 1000 people in the season, is among the important income sources of the farmer.
