[Agricultural and Fisheries News=Reporter Nara Park] The "2025 Kenya Agricultural Development Capacity Enhancement Agricultural Training" initiative, jointly promoted by Asan City (Mayor O Se-hyun) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), concluded its two-week schedule and held a closing ceremony on the 29th of last month at the Education Hall of the Asan Agricultural Technology Center. This training was attended by 15 rural guidance officials from Kenya, who intensively studied advanced agricultural technologies and development experiences in Korea to enhance their practical capabilities. The trainees focused on acquiring cultivation techniques for five crops, including rice, potatoes, and beans, which are majorly cultivated in Kenya. In particular, beyond simple theoretical education, the trainees engaged with the Central Crops Division of the National Institute of Crop Science and the Aged Land Agriculture Research.
