The Asan Livestock Cooperative (President Cheon Hae-su) held a major event to promote Hanwoo beef consumption last Friday, drawing a hot response from Asan citizens and once again proving the popularity of Hanwoo beef. This event was held with the support of Asan City to alleviate the burden on citizens facing difficulties due to the continuous rise in the cost of living and to stimulate consumption that has been stagnant due to the recent increase in Hanwoo beef prices. On the day of the event, 30 cows produced by Asan Livestock Cooperative members were used, and beef was offered at 4,890 won (100g) for prime grade sirloin and 2,190 won (100g) for butchered meat, all of which sold out on the same day, demonstrating high popularity.
